Repeal of 20 percent luxury/excise tax. Also includes discussion of H.R.3934; "To permit religious or charitable societies to import musical instruments free of duty in certain cases" (Mike Monroney), H.R.271; "To exempt from admission tax admission to recreation facilities and activities operated or conducted by the Federal Government, the several State governments, or political subdivisions thereof" (Chauncey W. Reed-Illinois), and H.R.7258; "To amend the Internal Revenue Code so as to provide for certain exemptions from the tax on admissions and to provide for exemptions from penalties for past offenses" (Hale Boggs-Louisiana).
