The first half of the folder contains various materials pertaining to a court case on Chapter 12 bankruptcy in which the language used in Chapter 12 is questioned, held in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Michigan, Southern Division. Includes a copy of the Family Farmer Equity Act of 1987 (H.R. 1152), case files, affidavits, and several memos with attached resumes written for court on section 302(c)(1) of the Bankruptcy Judges, United States Trustees, and Family Farmer Bankruptcy Act of 1986. The rest of the folder contains materials pertaining to changing the language in the Chapter 12 provision so as to make it more clear and concrete. Includes a Senate report of Calendar No. 246, Report 100-119.
