Contains various materials including statements and a witness list pertaining to a foreign aid oversight hearing on democracy and development in Bangladesh and Burma, held before the Subcommittee on Asian and Pacific Affairs of the House Committee on Foreign Affairs. Also contains materials regarding foreign affairs elsewhere in southeast Asia including India and Nepal. These materials were housed together in a mega folder with a large binder containing materials from the delegation trip taken by Synar, his legislative assistants Cindy Tate-Ball and Greg DiMeglio, and Congressman Richard Durbin in January 1989.
