 File — Box: 184, Folder: 14
Identifier: CAC_CC_051_9_184_14_0000
Contains six booklets from a delegation trip taken by Synar, his legislative assistants Greg DiMeglio and Cindy Tate-Ball, and Congressman Richard Durbin in January 1989. The booklets are titled "Sheikh Mujib: His People and Party," "Address by Sheikh Hasina: President, Bangladesh Awami League," "Ershad's Election Fraud," "Bangladesh: Distortions Challenged," "Sheikh Mujib: Murder Enquiry," "Sheikh Hasina Urges People to Resist Military Junta." Though this item falls into a subject category, they were housed together in a mega folder with materials from a foreign aid oversight hearing on democracy and development in Bangladesh and Burma held before the Subcommittee on Asian and Pacific Affairs of the House Committee on Foreign Affairs which took place two months after the delegation trip.
