Contains a Congressional Research Services review of Department of the Interior memorandum on the effects of air pollution on the National Parks System as well as a copy of the 1985 memorandum. Also contains an executive summary titled, "Replacing Gasoline: Alternative Fuels for Light-Duty Vehicles" and a copy of "First Interim Report of the Interagency Commission on Alternative Motor Fuels." This report was originally bound with comb binding and has been removed to folders. This report split after 4-21 with the report continuing in a subsequent folder starting at 4-22. These materials were handled by Ruth Fleischer. Ruth Fleischer was the Counsel of the Committee on Government Operations' Subcommittee on Environment, Energy, and Natural Resources however it is unclear in what capacity she was working for Synar's office during the creation and use of these materials pertaining to alternative fuels and air pollution.
