These materials were unfoldered and loose in the box between two other folders. Contains Dear Colleague letters, memos, handwritten notes, press releases, correspondence and research on some of the following pieces of legislation and topics: S.1917, Universal Child Immunization Act; S.524; S.8, a bill to grant a Federal Charter to the Vietnam Veterans of America; S.1134, the Program Fraud Civil Remedies Act; Intelligence Community Week; S.2043, Challenger Dependents Education Benefits Act; Jewish Heritage Week; S.Res.332, to Honor the Challenger Space Shuttle Astronauts; S.1429; terrorism control bills; veterans affairs bills; S.Con.Res.45. Some notes on select documents indicate that Boren co-sponsored some of these bills. These materials were originally filed by Blythe Thomas. Blythe Thomas was the Legislative Assistant in 1985 and Legislative Director in 1986 in Boren's office.

Conditions Governing Access

According to the terms of the deed, access to the materials shall be restricted to those individuals providing identification consistent with noncommercial research and scholarly work. All requests for material will be reviewed by the Director and Curator of the Carl Albert Center prior to access being granted. Use of certain manuscript collections or parts of collections are restricted by law, by reason of their origin, or by the donor. In addition, materials which are in the process of being arranged and described are not open for access.

This collection is stored off-site and requires prior notice to access.
