A report which surveyed Japanese assets in Soviet-Occupied Korea (what is now North Korea) in May and June of 1946. Written by Edwin W. Pauley, Ambassador of the United States and Personal Representative of the President on Reparations. Contains a table of contents and tabulated sections titled "Letter", "Contents", "Staff", "Foreward", "Log", "Report", "Plant Inspection Reports" (which are numerated), "Exhibits" (which are numerated), and "Diary". The report lists plants inspected by industries and individual plan inspection reports by region. Pauley's Diary section covers the trip North of the 38 degree Parallel in Korea, describing travels, meetings with Soviet military personnel, and inspections. It contains photographs printed on the pages of the report (not original photographs).

In the Pyongyang Region, plants inspected include Japan Corn Products Company, The Mitsubishi Steel Works, Chosen Airplane Manufacturing Co. (Showa), Sadong Coal Mine, Coal Briquetting Plant, Chosen Daido Seiko Plant (Steel), Thermal Electric Generating Plant, Viscose Plant (Kanebo), and Oriental Spinning and Weaving Company.

In the Kenjiho Region, 1 plant was inspected which was Japan Iron and Steel Company.

In the Chinnamp'o Region, plants inspected include Aluminum and Magnesium Plan, (Chosen Light Metal Co. Ltd.), Copper and Lead Smelter Plant, Sulfuric Acid and Superphosphate Plant, Chinnamp'o Iron Works, Chinnamp'o Graphite Electrode Company, and Port Facilities.

In the Sinuiju Region, plants inspected include Magnesium Plan (Oriental Light Metals Company), Aluminum Manufacturing Plant (Mitsui Light Metals Co.), Sansei Lead Smelter, Bamboo Pulp Plant, Cotton Textile Plant (Sinhungsan Up Sa), Chosen Anhydrous Alcohol Plant, Machine Shop (No. 3 Plant of the Northern Province of Pyang-an), Vanza Chedzi Pulp Paper Plant, and National Textile Plant (Kukyong Pongmyen Plant).

In the Wonsan Region, plants inspected include Wonsan Shops of Korean Railroad Company, Japan Steel Pipe Company, Sumitomo Light Metals Company, and Sumitomo Lead Smelter.

In the Sunch'on Region, 1 plant was inspected which was Calcium Cyanamide Plant.
