The Office of Indian Education Requires Reverification of Student Counts, 1980-01-29 - 1981-03-03

 Item — Box: 15, Folder: 29
Identifier: CAC_CC_109_5_15_29_0014
The Office of Indian Education is currently reviewing applications for fiscal year 1981 grants. The review process has revealed some inconsistencies in the reporting of Indian student counts, so all districts will be required to reverify their counts. Verification must be done according to procedures outlined in a letter from Dr. Gerald E. Gipp, and all students counted must meet the definition of Indian contained in the Indian Education Act. For fiscal year 1982 grants, all students counted must have a complete 506 Form on file at the time the application is submitted.
