The letter writer is asking for help in stopping the amendment of the 1972 Delaware Distribution Act. They explain that the Kansas Delaware gave up their rights to be part of the tribe in order to stay in Kansas, and that as a result, they are not entitled to any of the $14 million awarded to the Delaware tribe. They argue that many people of Delaware descent will never see this money, and that it is unfair to those who remained with the tribe.
