Delaware tribe members request payment of judgement funds
Item — Box: 32, Folder: 3
Identifier: CAC_CC_109_7_32_3_0014
The text contains a letter from members of the Delaware tribe of Indians to their congressman, asking for his help in securing payment of a judgement that was awarded to them seven years ago. The judgement has been held up by a group of non-Delaware people who are now asking for 10% of the award funds. The tribe members state that they have already waited too long for payment and that many of their elders have passed away without receiving their share. They ask the congressman to do whatever he can to prevent any further delay in payment.
