The Delaware Indians' Land Dispute

 Item — Box: 32, Folder: 3
Identifier: CAC_CC_109_7_32_3_0017
The author is a member of the Delaware Indian tribe and is writing to James R. Jones to express their frustration with the Kansas Delawares. They explain that the two groups have been in a long-standing dispute over a land grant, and that the Delaware Indians have already won the case in the Supreme Court. However, the Kansas Delawares have placed a 30 day lean on the money, delaying the resolution of the issue. The author asks Jones to look into the matter and help speed up the process. They express appreciation for his work as a congressman and say they will continue to vote for him.
