Federal and State Assistance for Peoria Indians

The Peoria Tribe was terminated in 1956, and members are not eligible for federal services to Indians. The tribe is only eligible for claims against the United States government. There is legislation pending in Congress to repeal the termination of the Peoria Tribe.
