The Peoria Tribe has three claims pending before the Indian Claims Commission. After speaking with the appropriate officials at the Indian Claims Commission, it is expected that a final judgment will be issued in the spring of 1977 for two of the claims, and in the fall of 1977 for the third claim. Congressman James R. Jones hopes that this information will be of assistance to Mr. Ellis, and offers to help in any other way he can.
