The Department Of The Interior's Career Outplacement Program: An Employee Survey

The text contains a memo from the commissioner of Indian affairs to the director of the office of administration. The memo discusses the potential implementation of a career outplacement program for non-Indian employees of the bureau of Indian affairs (Bia). The commissioner states that such a program would result in negative publicity and decreased morale among employees. The commissioner estimates that 1,888 Bia employees would apply for outplacement assistance, and that the majority of these would be education program employees.
