Proposed Plan For The Distribution Of Creek Judgment Funds, 1866-06-14 - 1974-03-09
Item — Box: 38, Folder: 15
Identifier: CAC_CC_109_5_38_15_0005
The United States Department of the interior is proposing a plan for the distribution of creek judgment funds from docket 275, which were awarded for land taken in 1818. The plan recommends dividing the funds between the eastern creek descendants and the creek tribe of oklahoma, based on the numbers within each group as designated on the 1968 payment roll. Because the eastern creeks are unorganized and not federally recognized, the proposal is for a per capita distribution of the funds to them.
