The letter from James r. Jones to James m. Cox discusses the water rights of oklahoma Indians, specifically the $100,000 that has been allocated for the preparation of phase ii of the oklahoma state water plan. Jones informs cox that the objective of the continuance of the phase i study is to allow the bureau of reclamation to update the report to make it compatible with the phase ii report. He also mentions that the studies are oriented toward finding ways to meet the water needs of all entities in oklahoma, Indian and non-Indian alike, and that the tribes of oklahoma should work with the state of oklahoma to assure that Indian water needs are appropriately addressed.
