The Pawnee Agency's Efforts To Settle The Meramec Lake Case, 1978-02-17 - 1978-02-23
Item — Box: 38, Folder: 16
Identifier: CAC_CC_109_5_38_16_0033
The Pawnee agency of the united states department of the interior is apologizing for not responding sooner to a request for payment of attorney fees in connection with the Meramec lake case. The agency had hoped that the matter could be resolved without legal action, but since that has not been possible, they agree that the only recourse now is to proceed with the legal action outlined in the original letter. As to the portion of the money judgment that is on deposit with the court clerk of the Pawnee county, those funds may be disbursed to the Pawnee agency for distribution to the heirs.
