Item — Box: 38, Folder: 18
Identifier: CAC_CC_109_5_38_18_0012
The text includes a letter from the assistant secretary of the interior for Indian affairs to a congressman, in response to a request for information about a resolution passed by the school board for the Sequoyah off reservation Indian boarding school. The assistant secretary explains that the resolution had to do with the detail of Mr. Amon baker, the Sequoyah school supervisor, to the position of Tahlequah agency superintendent during 1981, and that Mr. Baker was detailed to the Tahlequah agency in December for a period not to exceed 120 days. The letter concludes by stating that another individual was detailed to the Sequoyah school in Mr. Bakers absence, and that the Sequoyah school did have the services of a school supervisor in 1981.
