The Muscogee (creek) nation has requested that the United States Department of the interior take action to restore funds to tribal ownership that were unclaimed in a 1972 distribution of tribal judgement funds. The nation alleges that the funds meet the requirements for restoration under the law, and that they will be used for plans and programs recommended by the national council of the Muscogee (creek) nation.
