The Muscogee (creek) nation requests that the department of health and human services () reconsider its decision to use United States Census data as the sole source for determining tribal proportions and allotments under the block grant programs. The nation argues that the census data is historically inaccurate, especially for rural and low-income populations. The nation proposes that promulgate a rule allowing tribes to certify their own population statistics. If does not do this, the nation will request that the oklahoma congressional delegation seek a technical amendment to the law.
