The Osage tribal council is concerned about rumors of the possible transfer of jack Shoemate from his position as superintendent of the Osage agency. The council unanimously adopted a resolution supporting Shoemate and requesting that no action be taken by the bureau of Indian affairs without prior consultation with the council.
