The Kiowa business committee is proposing that legislation be introduced in congress to allow the bureau of Indian affairs to utilize Indian preference in awarding road and building construction or repair work contracts for projects within Indian country. The committee feels that this will help Indian-owned construction companies become more competitive in the business world.
