The Thlopthlocco tribal town of oklahoma is requesting that a tract of land be placed in trust status for the tribes use. The land is located in Tulsa county and is currently unimproved. The tribe intends to use the land for various economic development projects, such as an industrial park, warehousing facilities, or a hotel/restaurant. The tribe has caused studies to be performed which indicate that the land is suitable for development. In the event that the tribe is successful in generating revenues from the Tulsa county land, it plans to further develop its land in Hughes and Okfuskee counties.
