The objective of this project is to provide employment for 50 unemployed or under-employed indian people in northeastern oklahoma. The project will provide training, skills, and education for this group which will lead to permanent employment and promote upward job mobility. The project will also create a community heritage center for the purpose of maintaining a sense of community by providing a meeting place and services which focus on the understanding and appreciation of the heritage of the area. The project will provide college credit, at participants option, for the project participants. The project will provide a facility which, upon completion, will become self-supporting through user fees.
