The School Program At Concho

The school program at concho is designed to provide individualized attention to each student. The curriculum is organized in self-contained classrooms in grades one through six, and according to content subjects in grades seven and eight. Specialized instruction is provided in reading and mathematics. Almost half of the students are enrolled in title i compensatory education programs.

The seventh and eighth grade curriculum is composed of reading, language arts, science, mathematics, practical arts, home economics, physical education, and special (remedial) effort items. The students change classes and receive instruction in classrooms specifically designed for the subjects being offered.

As mentioned above, the primary and elementary grades have self-contained instructional areas with the same teacher and aide handling most of the curriculum. Title i offers a difference, as this instruction is offered by a teacher and aide other than the regular teacher.
