Request for Inclusion of Tulsa Urban Indians in Census Supplemental Forms, 1980-04-18

 Item — Box: 4, Folder: 20
Identifier: CAC_CC_109_5_4_20_0002
The Indian Affairs Commission of the City of Tulsa has learned that the Bureau of the Census has decided not to include the City of Tulsa in the distribution of the supplemental form for American Indians. The Commission is disappointed and requests the assistance of Congressman Jones in convincing the Bureau of the Census to include Tulsa in the distribution. They believe that gathering statistics on Urban Indians is important for social planning and human services, and that the local census organization has the resources to accomplish this task.
