The text is a correspondence between Pamela E. Iron and James R. Jones regarding the appropriations for urban Indian health projects. Jones informs Iron that the Appropriations Committee has retained the $8.9 million figure for urban health projects, which is $900,000 over the Presidents budget recommendation. Iron expresses disappointment and hopes for a larger appropriation in the future. The Indian Health Care Resource Center also expresses dissatisfaction with the recommended appropriation and urges Jones to contact members of the Appropriations Committee to increase the funding to at least $13 million.
