The text is a response to a letter from Mrs. Lester F. Higginbotham regarding the appointment of a new Area Director for the Muskogee Bureau of Indian Affairs Office. The sender, James R. Jones, states that he has received positive recommendations of Mr. Hampton Anderson and will do everything he can to be helpful in the matter. Mrs. Higginbotham urged Jones to appoint Anderson due to her negative experience with the current office and the importance of filling the position promptly.
