Mrs. William J. Simpson wrote a letter urging the restoration of Title IV Indian Education funds, and Congressman James R. Jones responded with good news that $12 million in funding for Part A and $200,000 for Part C have been restored. Jones expressed his support for the valuable programs provided by Title IV and assured Mrs. Simpson that he will continue to work for full funding. He also informed her that the House of Representatives has voted to restore the funding, and he is hopeful for success in the Senate.
