Identifier: CAC_CC_109_7_4_37_0030
Mr. Rood wrote to Congressman Taylor expressing his views on the expansion of the Grand Canyon National Park, specifically urging for specific additions to the park beyond what was mentioned in S.1296. He also requested the repeal of a section in the existing Grand Canyon National Park Act and upheld the study provision concerning the enlargement of the Havasupai Reservation. Mr. Rood also pointed out errors in the geographical extent of the Grand Canyon in S.1296 and requested corrections to be made in the bill. Congressman Jones acknowledged Mr. Rood's letter and assured him that his views would be kept in mind when the bill comes to a vote.
