Response to Concerns Regarding Trail of Broken Treaties and BIA Damage
The Department of the Interior received a telegram from Ms. Juanita West regarding the Trail of Broken Treaties and damage at the Bureau of Indian Affairs. The Bureau falls under the jurisdiction of the Department of the Interior, and inquiries should be directed to Secretary Rogers B. Morton in Washington, D.C. A separate telegram denounces the actions of the Indians who took over the BIA building and calls for prosecution for their actions.
