Resolution Regarding Official Organs of Seminole Nation of Oklahoma
The letter from the Interior to the Seminole Nation acknowledges a resolution regarding official organs of the Seminole Nation. The resolution states that private groups claiming to be official organs of the Seminole Nation are not recognized under the Constitution of the Seminole Nation or State and Federal law. It affirms that the General Council of the Seminole Nation is the sole legal governing body and no other group has authority to represent the Seminole Nation. The resolution was passed by the General Council of the Seminole Nation in July 1975.
