Text from a constituent to Carl Albert about an Update on Indian Education Funding

The letter addresses concerns about the funding level for the Indian Education Program, stating that the appropriation bill for Title IV has already been enacted into law and cannot be changed. It is unlikely that a supplemental appropriations bill will be initiated to increase funding. The funds in the bill are for the next academic year, and there is a possibility that the new Congress might consider action to increase the funding level. The recipient is encouraged to write to the new Third District Congressman in January to discuss the possibility of further funding.
