The text contains two letters from Carl Albert to Doyle L. Monger. In the first letter, Albert informs Monger that Overton James has been appointed to serve as Governor of the Chickasaw Nation for two years, starting from the expiration of Floyd Maytubby's term. In the second letter, Albert thanks Monger for his endorsement of James and tells him that James is under consideration for the appointment.
