The text contains a letter from Representative Carl Albert to Mr. Gerald Veghar, in which he discusses the candidacy of Overton James for the position of Governor of the Chickasaw Nation. Representative Albert states that he has known Mr. James for many years and has great respect for him. He believes that Mr. James is well qualified for the position and has informed the appointive officials at the Department of the Interior of this.
