Choctaw Nation Health Concerns, 1977-07-23

 Item — Box: 32, Folder: 11
Identifier: CAC_CC_003_2_32_11_0015
The Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma is requesting that the US government intervene in the reinstatement of Floyd Anderson to his former post as Service Unit Director at the Indian Health Services Hospital at Talihina. They claim that Anderson was previously removed from the post due to strained relationships between him, the tribal government, the hospital personnel, and the Indian population of the Choctaw Nation. Furthermore, they argue that the health delivery system will suffer greatly if Anderson is allowed to return, as his previous administration was marked by disregard for his official duties and responsibilities, and political manipulation.
