The Indian Affairs Subcommittee of the US House of Representatives will be holding hearings on April 8th and 9th in order to discuss several bills relating to Native American Tribes. The bills up for discussion include HR 6070 (related to the Keweenaw Bay Indian Community), HR 8229 and 8230 (both related to the Sisseton-Wahpeton Sioux Tribe of the Lake Traverse Indian Reservation), HR 8824 (related to Mrs. Harriett La Pointe Vanderventer), HR 9105 (related to the Kootenai Tribe of Idaho), and HR 12216 (related to the Lumbee Indians of North Carolina).
