The Menominee Restoration Act (H.R. 7421) would extend federal recognition to the Menominee Tribe of Wisconsin, repeal the Termination Act of 1954, and protect rights and obligations that have vested since termination. The Act would also establish a Menominee Restoration Committee to oversee the process of reestablishing the Tribe, including holding elections for a new Tribal governing body.
