The American Indian Organization (AIO) is a national Indian non-profit organization that works to improve the lives of Native Americans. AIO believes that Native Americans are entitled to a fair share of opportunities and equality, while still retaining the right to be different. The organization works to improve attitudes among Indians and non-Indians, to strike down stereotypes, and to build upon the proud heritage of Native Americans.
