The text is a letter from Mrs. Fred R. Harris, Chairman of the Women's Advisory Council on Poverty, to Mrs. Elizabeth Forsling Harris. In the letter, Mrs. Harris thanks Mrs. Forsling Harris for her book and for her suggestions about volunteers. Mrs. Harris also mentions that her own chairman duties are more work than she anticipated, but that it is still worthwhile. Finally, Mrs. Harris mentions that Laura, Mrs. Forsling Harris's daughter, is still holding out for the Blue Birds, but that she may have a chance with the brownies.
