National Bicentennial Program Criteria
National Bicentennial Program Criteria
The American Revolution Bicentennial Commission has established criteria for evaluating activities proposed for inclusion in the National Bicentennial Program. The criteria are divided into two parts: Basic Criteria and Specific Criteria.

To be recognized as an official part of the National Bicentennial Program, an activity must meet the three Basic Criteria. Organizations or individuals proposing an activity must demonstrate to the Commission that their proposal meets these criteria.

The Specific Criteria provide more detailed and technical information for use in the evaluation process. This information is used to determine the level of support which the Commission may give to an activity, and to develop a balanced National Bicentennial Program.

Organizations or individuals wishing to submit a proposal for inclusion in the National Bicentennial Program should send it to the American Revolution Bicentennial Commission, along with a general description of the activity, a narrative statement indicating how the proposal meets the Basic Criteria, and as much data as possible requested within the Specific
