Mrs. Mary K. Mross expressed concern about Disabled Veterans' Pensions in a letter to Congressman James R. Jones. Jones assured her that the proposal to reduce disability compensation has been withdrawn and legislation has been introduced to protect veterans' payments. Mross, a widow of a disabled WWI veteran, asked for Jones' help in stopping the potential cuts to veterans' benefits. Congressman Jones promised to do what he can to help.
