Mr. Platner wrote a letter expressing concern about the proposed reduction in disability compensation for veterans. Congressman James R. Jones responded, informing him that the proposal has been withdrawn and legislation has been introduced to stabilize and freeze disability payments. Jones assured Platner that he would closely monitor the bill and do his best to help protect veterans' payments.
