Mike Anderson, a veteran pursuing a pre-medical curriculum on the G.I. Bill, wrote to Congressman James R. Jones expressing concern about the inadequacy of the current G.I. Bill compared to those received by veterans of World War II. Anderson requested support for increasing the G.I. Bill to cover all educational expenses at colleges and universities. Congressman Jones responded, expressing interest in veterans' benefits and the ongoing re-examination of the program, and offering assistance in any matter.
