Mr. Wensauer wrote to Congressman Jones expressing his support for legislation to increase allowance benefits for veterans in college and extend their entitlement period. Congressman Jones acknowledged receipt of the letter and assured Mr. Wensauer that he shared his concern for veterans. He mentioned that Senator Hartke had introduced a bill addressing financial problems of student veterans and promised to keep Mr. Wensauer's views in mind when the bill reaches the House.
