George A. Dietz, Jr. wrote to Congressman James R. Jones expressing support for legislation to increase GI education benefits and extend the period of eligibility for these benefits. Congressman Jones responded, thanking Dietz for his support and informing him that the legislation was scheduled for floor action in the House. Jones expressed his firm support for the bill and encouraged Dietz to reach out if he needed any assistance. Jones later informed Dietz that he had voted for the bill, which would provide a 13.6 percent increase in benefits and extend the eligibility period by two years.
