The letter is a response to a note from Mr. J.R. Vernon regarding cutbacks in veterans' benefits. Congressman James R. Jones assures Mr. Vernon that legislation is being prepared to restore benefits to their previous level and add a cost of living increase allowance. Mr. Jones expresses his support for the measure and promises to vote for it in the House of Representatives. There is also mention of a dispute over a promised 10% discount at Ignore Hut and frustration over delays in resolving the issue.
