Pawnee Tribe's Court of Claims Award Distribution Issue

Various letters regarding the distribution of the Court of Claims award in favor of the Pawnee Tribe are discussed. Members of the tribe are requesting a per capita payment of the settlement rather than being enrolled in a program, and there is discussion of a cutoff date for distributing the funds. The Bureau of Indian Affairs authorizes a per capita payment of approximately $3,500 to enrolled members of the tribe. Congressman Carl Albert offers to assist with any issues related to the distribution of the award.
