James L. Gordon, a Cherokee Indian, has been appointed as the new Chief of the Area Financial Management Branch for the Division of Indian Health. He has previous experience in financial management and has worked in various government agencies. He will be responsible for overseeing the financial management of several Indian Health Service Units in Oklahoma City. The agency currently has a budget of $8,500,000 and employs 750 people, many of whom are Native Americans.
