Item — Box: DP 63, Folder: 15
Identifier: CAC_CC_001_4_63_15_0007
Mr. Folsom Scott proposed the establishment of a medical school at the Talihina Indian Hospital, but the Public Health Service determined it was not feasible due to complexity and cost. They suggested training opportunities for Indian people in health professions at established professional colleges. Congressman Carl Albert acknowledged Mr. Scott's ideas and also addressed his concerns regarding land acquisition in Haskell County for a bird and fowl habitat.
